The 2023 New Toyota Prius Unveiled in Los Angeles

Toyota has just unveiled the 2023 Prius at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The new generation of the Prius hybrid has a slicker exterior and a more assertive front end than its predecessor. The 2023 Prius' new 5th-generation hybrid powertrain also boosts output by 15% in comparison to the outgoing model. The 2023 Prius will be one of the most advanced hybrids available in Ontario thanks to its cutting-edge safety and driver assistance features. Let's take a look at  the new 2023 Toyota Prius.

A brand-new design and improved hybrid powertrain

The new-generation Toyota Prius gets a much more noticeable design with a more dynamic overall look while maintaining the same level of versatility. As a matter of fact, it is even more versatile.  Its wider track will also help improve handling and overall driving fun  The new Prius sits lower (by 50 mm) and wider (by 20 mm) than the previous model, while the hip point is lower  (by 30 mm) than the outgoing model.

The remodelled 2023 Toyota Prius now has a more potent and efficient hybrid drivetrain. A lithium-ion battery and an electric motor complement the larger 2.0-liter gas engine, increasing output to 196 horsepower. Added to the list of improvements for this model year is a battery that is 15% more powerful than its predecessor. Electronic On-Demand All-Wheel Drive (AWD) is now standard and works in tandem with the new powertrain to enhance traction and stability in hazardous driving conditions.

New Infotainment System

Toyota's new multimedia system housed in a 12.3-inch screen is now included and even better, it is standard equipment. The new Toyota multimedia system supports wireless standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration in addition to a plethora of other connectivity and convenience features, such as touch and voice activation controls, dual Bluetooth phone connectivity, and more. The Prius offers a JBL Premium Audio system that features eight speakers for a more refined listening experience. It has six USB ports inside the cabin, so you can charge all of your devices at once.

New Toyota Safety Sense 3.0

The Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 suite of driver-assist technologies is included to help keep you safe on the road and is one of the many safety features found in the 2023 Prius. Among these features are Automatic High Beams, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, and a Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection.

The 2023 Toyota Prius is a completely reimagined version of the best-selling Toyota hybrid vehicle.
