December 21 2021,

Soon it will be possible to chat with your Toyota vehicle using the "Hey Toyota" voice command. By doing so, you will be in communication with your vehicle and you will then be able use voice commands to control a host of functions quickly and easily.

For example, you can tell the vehicle that you are cold, you want to activate the windshield wipers or you are looking for a Greek restaurant. The vehicle will understand you and can then help you.

The technology will be quite advanced. There will be two microphones for the driver and the passenger. So, if it's the passenger who says, "Hey, Toyota, I'm cold," then the system will adjust the air conditioning only on the passenger side.

This new system will be integrated into a larger central screen as well. The all-new 2022 Toyota Tundra will be offered with a 14-inch center screen.

Increasing the size of the center screen will not only provide better graphics, but also make it easier to interact with the technology with larger controls. In addition, the screen will be covered with a unique glass similar to that of a mobile device to reduce glare and better protect the interface.

Other features include a new smart key that will actually be your mobile device. You will be able to open doors with your cell phone and control various accesses with your mobile.

The device will also offer cloud navigation. This will offer a navigation experience similar to that of your phone with more accurate points of interest and up-to-date data for construction and congestion. In addition, this system will even be able to display Google Reviews.

There will also be faster wireless charging built into the system, as well as Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

The system will be offered first on the 2022 Toyota Tundra, but will also be offered on all-new Toyota models in the near future.
